Jim graduated from Frostburg State University with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Economics.   In 1979, he began his employment with First Federal Saving Bank of Western Maryland working in the accounting department.  He left the bank in 1997 as Senior Vice President of Operations and Compliance.  Upon leaving the bank, Jim and three other individuals with First Federal, formed First Mortgage Services.
